Weisman Art Museum

Hellllo interesting architecture. This is the Weisman art museum (yes, designed by Frank Gehry!) Check out their site. The museum is free and only about 10 minutes away.  They do guided tours for 2 dollars per group member, so leave a comment if you're interested.

Hours: Tues. & Wed. 10-5, Thurs. 10-8

Minneapolis Institute of Art

Supposedly one of the top ten art museums in the country; here is their site. They also are free and close to the hotel. 

hours: Tues & Wed 10-5 and open til 9 on Thursday

IKEA!

Yes, technically it's a furniture store. Buuuut it has so much more. Here's the site to investigate. This might be a good place to have lunch on Thursday. I know that's where I'll be...

Mall of America

Nicollet Mall 

This is an eleven block span of shopping and entertainment in dowtown Minneapolis. It's mostly outside, so it might be a little chilly but totally worth it. 

Hours: The hours vary by store.
